Gratnells Learning Rooms commissioned an educational film focused on an innovative school in Copenhagen, Denmark, which has reimagined the architecture of its learning spaces to place student wellbeing and friendship at the heart of education. The goal was to showcase how thoughtful design can transform both the physical environment and the educational outcomes of a school.
Aura Films built the narrative around a series of interviews with educational experts and faculty members, whose insights helped explain the deeper concepts behind the school’s architectural vision—ideas that could not be fully conveyed through visuals alone. These interviews grounded the film in practical and theoretical context, giving viewers a comprehensive understanding of the school’s forward-thinking approach.
To bring the space to life, we spent several days on location capturing real classroom moments, vibrant open-plan learning areas, and the school’s striking exterior architecture. Using smooth, controlled camera movements and wide-angle compositions, we highlighted the flow, scale, and innovation of the design. Authentic interactions between students and teachers were central to the visual narrative, showing how the environment actively supports learning, collaboration, and wellbeing.
The final film is a visually rich and thought-provoking exploration of a groundbreaking educational space—supported by expert commentary and real-world impact—that demonstrates how architectural innovation can enhance student outcomes and school culture.
